  1. If you are just starting out with hare scrambles run a race or two on your TT-R just to see how you like it. If it is something you want to stick with you can get a new bike then. A 125 2 stroke is about the worst bike you could possibly buy for hare scrambles. I would highly recommend either a CRF250X or a WR250F when and if you do decide to upgrade.

  2. Omg ull get whooped on that ttr I dont race those but i race motocross and yes i do them triples anyhow bro get a rmz250 they are wicked

  3. four stroke no doubt...DONT LISTEN TO MADISON!!!SHE DONT KNOW WAT SHES TALKING ABOUT!!KAWASAKIS ARE S***! YAMAHA IS THE BEST BY FAR!!

  4. Definately 4-stroke.

    its really hard on 2-strokes.

    Dont get yamaha.

    THEY SUCCKK.

    Kawasaki. =]

  5. My sons used to do harescrambles and found the 4 strokes a lot easier to manage especially for hare scrambles that took them through bush with a few hill climbs.  The four strokes would just pull up the hills with ease, especially if it was muddy, where the 2 strokes would have to hit them just right with just the right amount of power to do the same thing.  So I would probably go for a 4 stroke but not necessarily the one you have now.  I think I would go for at least a 250cc 4 stroke. But then you dont say how old you are so you may only be young!  but a Ttr is really just a basic trail bike

    And good on Hawkbar for winning on his 125cc but I thought this was about what is the best bike not what YOU can do.  My sons have also won on their 2 stroke 125cc and have many trophies for doing so,  but it is easier on a 4 stroke for those who are not quite so good on bikes.  And thanks for the thumbs down!

  6. Stay with your TTR125. You don't need a 250 for now. If you can ride good on your TTR125 you can win with it. It's NOT how fast your bike is but how fast you can ride. You don't need a 2008 250 4 stroke to win in the ( "C" / Novice ) class. Oh by the way I have won some GNCC races in the mountains of PA and WV in the mudd and rocks on a 2 stroke and did not have to hit everything just right to so.
