I want to recover from bulimia but I need to lose weight.....?

I am bulimic and binge nearly every day. I know I am not overweight but I feel so fat. 122 lb at 5'5 is huge......... I guess I'm just looking for some words of encouragement

    Good luck, Hun. And get the hlp you need. Bulimia is a very bad thing! And you don't even need to lose an inch!


  2. I have an ED as well, and although I'm not in recovery yet, I can offer some words of advice.

    Katherine McPhee from American Idol was bulimic and she's now thinner than she was when she was bulimic due to her getting what's necessary for her body.  

    Get on a specific diet plan and remember -- eat to live, don't live to eat. It's so much easier for me to dole out advice but not follow my own.

    E! just showed a show and featured Katherine on there for her bulimia.

  3. sweety i have a friend who is 5'4 and wighs 135 and all the guys thinnk she has a hot body. she is beautiful. you are far from overweight. you have a nice sounding body. you know a lot of girls would kill for a body like yours. and to tell you the truth a lot of guys dont like super skinny model like girls. so just try to seee yourself like what you truly are...beautiful. everyone is beautiful in their own way!

    you dint need to but if you feel you need to lose weight then start with 150 sit ups a day!

  4. I know how you feel. You need to stop weighing yourself so much, and start eating like a normal human. Meaning, eat regular meals, and don't make food into a big deal. If you eat a muffin, or pizza, or whatever, it's ok. Just don't lose control- don't binge, don't puke, just eat it and move on with your day. If you don't make it a big deal, then it's not a big deal. And so long as you exercise you will maintain, or lose, weight if you want to. You can do it, just takes time and determination.

  5. Why don't you remind yourself that throwing up eats away at your teeth and you will lose them.

    tell your gp to refer you to a clinic for adolecence mental health!! they will be able to help you!!

    they also give you a dietricionish just for you and he will at first asses you then help you eat healthy and find a healthy weight that your happy with he will then help you eat healthly and loàse weight that stays of and that is healthy!!!

  7. 122 at 5'5 is NOT huge.

    there are better ways to lose weight.

    Bulimia will kill you.  I want you to live a long time and be beautiful, just like you are right now.

  9. just run or do cardio everyday and dont eat fatty foods and u will loose weight but it will be actual fat and not muscle. that way u will weigh less like u want and have ur muscles all toned to look like a movie star

  11. you are fine at that weight but if you still feel like you need to lose weight, dont look at what you eat as food, look at it as nutrition...

    you have to set your mind in a way of eating healthy all the time not as a diet.

  12. Workout and eat sensibly tapering the carbs as the day goes by. No shortcuts to success.

    It's up to you. Choose healthy living or regurgitate your life away.

  13. you defiantly arnet fat but if you feel fat maybe you should try doing more exercise that's what i did when i when i felt fat and another thing that helps is not talk about feeling fat

    You need to gain weight if anything.
