I want to recruit people for a movement?

that is peaceful. How do I get them to accept me as the leader? The movement in question is getting help for the colonization of space and develop alternative energy sources.

Well, for the avg. person (to accept you) I doubt you'd need to do more than make your movement a legitimate movement and make them feel like they aren't getting con'd.  I mean, If I was going to join a movement, I wouldn't really care who is leader and I'd accept him as long as we were getting something done, or at least close to it.

Btw, colonization of the moon...might wanna research how hard that'd be and the benefits/risks

If you have to ask how to get people to accept you as a leader you don't have leadership qualities. Leave it up to someone else.

First you must provide them a vision and a means and method to attain it.

Secondly, you must have the charisma required of a leader or find someone else to be that leader.

Two different things: space colonization and alternative energy.  One supports the other but you'll have to decide which one to tackle first.

If you're gonna go with the latter, use the base of Americanism, finance.  You can save a lot of money with alternative energy.  Gore simply makes a fool of himself with this cartoon like antics.  Don't be a gore.

Convince them it is doable under a reasonable budget. To be the leader convince them you can convince others that you are the best to keep the team cohesive.
