I want to redecorate my daughters' bedroom on a really tight budget! Any suggestions?

They are girly girls so they love the girly colors like pink & purple. I personally have a passion for yellow! The rooms are painted like a slightly yellowish off-white color already and I don't want to repaint. We don't have alot of money to work with as I have 2 other children as well that will need their rooms done as well. Any suggestions? I would also like to try to make projects out of some of the work instead of just going out and buying stuff! Their ages are 4 and 7. Thanks in advance for all answers!

Paint the walls and do sponge art or faux art on the walls it will make a big difference, and alot cheaper!*

You could rearange the room for them, move their bed, dresser, etc! This seems to make a very big difference in a room alone. You might also like the idea of buying fabric or crafty items and making things to hang on the wall, or for shades on the windows. Anything made by hand looks very special =)

I get some stencils and paint and do somthing over the existing paint...maybe butterflies and flowers and ladybugs....They can certainly help with doing those for you.  Then buy some new coordinating throw pillows - those are cheap for sure, maybe a couple of new throw rugs..

you cant go wrong by rearranging furniture.  i do that a lot.  it feels like your in a totally new room when in reality, it just looks different.

you can also go to a craft store and do some sort of craft project to hang in the room....cheap and meaningful...

In order to bright up the walls without repainting them, why not get some stencils and some pink/purple paint to add a girlish touch to the room. Changing the lamp shades and curtains can also have a huge impact on the overall feel of the room, and the right color of both could again add some girly touches to the room without having to go all out.
