I want to redecorate my room..any ideas?

i want to remodel my room. i'm 13, and my room is too..childish. i always feel like a 5-year-old in it. it's too pink and..well, childish. my mom agreed to make some SMALL changes to it; maybe put some posters on the walls or inspiring words..something..

any ideas?? for starters, i would looove a retro feel in it. if u have any pics u can attach, i would thank u so much. and maybe..well, i'm an aspiring writer, and i'm such a bookworm. maybe something to display my fave books? or something..idk..any ideas?

Ohkay, well, paint all your walls hot pink, and then either purchase or paint your funiture black and white. Then, get like zebra print rugs and a zebra print blanket for your bed, and hot pink throw pillows. That would look super cute!

ohh, and then get a bookshelf and put your fav. books on it, and have two pieces of zebra cloth on both sides and pin them back like curtains.

well, i helped my sister do her room recently and she also couldnt paint her room or get a new bed or anything big. she loves the twilight series, so i went through and read all the books and got some quotes from them and then we sat down and chose a couple of the quotes. then we bought poster-size paper and stenciled the quotes on different posters and put some swirls on the background. we hung them up in the room and they look totally cute, are thats pretty easy to do and are really unique things that only you have :) and it was something my mom let us do. you could also buy new sheets for you bed that arent super little-girl and a small rug. get rid of little-girly accessories (lamps, posters...)
