I want to redecorate my room

Question

i am 14 and i want to redecorate my room.

my floor is laminate and my furniture is a light brown colour.

my walls are light blue at the moment and the woodwork is a light purple colour .i would like a more grown up room would anyone be able to help me on a cheap buget.

look for big area rugs ....

maybe a bamboo weeve,  paint the walls

maybe an olive green... put tab top curtians

over the windows (maybe an off white, or cream)

change your bedspread and throw around a few

accent pillows (maybe chinese red)

Why not paint all your furniture white and paint the walls a different colour? Add some grown up accessories like gold lamps etc which you can buy cheaply off of EBay and a fluffy rug? Also, look at the back of your garage or roof and find furniture to update and use. I did and went from blue coloured walls, black metal furniture with blue accessories, white bedding - a truly hideous room - to white walls, same black furniture, gold mirror, blue and white gingham bedding, wooden chest of drawers, art on the walls and a lilac bookcase - a truly wonderful room. I had a different bedroom in between and went to the garage and found the bed, the bedside table, the bookcase. The art work was found at a boot sale and the mirror for £2 in a charity shop. Never feel embarrased about shopping in a charity shop - some of my friends are like, "You buy from a charity shop? Okay...." seriously! That mirror is a gold, French style that's worth at least £50 if not more and I bought it for £2! BARGIN! :D
