  1. You'll be fine...maybe.

  2. It all depends on why you're looking to relocate. If its for a better life,a new beginning,a better job,go for it.Do you know how exciting relocating is?Its like a whole new start.Yes you will miss your friends but you will make new ones.

I was born in England and my dad moved to the states (California) for a job .As soon as he was settled in,he brought over my mom and I.

I moved from California to Texas on my own and had 10 great years, then moved to Las Vegas. From there I decided it was time to go home again....back to California.

Depending upon your situation, the relocate does not have to be permanent. Look at it as a vacation for a year,a chance to get things sorted out. If you like it you stay,if not,you can always go home :)  That was my attitude when I moved to Texas. It takes a bit of the fear away but you dont lose the excitement of starting a new life.  :)

  3. You can't relocate totally fearlessly. In some cases that fear can keep you safe - for instance you go looking at apartments, if it feels unsafe it probably is!!

    1. learn as much as you can about the new town before you go there.

    2. Buy a map and explore the town when you get there.

    3. Join up!-- Volunteer your time or efforts for a charity at the new place and meet new people!

    4. Give it time. It takes about a year to really feel right at home in a new town.

  4. I don't think there is a way to relocate fearlessly; however, just look at it as a new opportunity.  Change is good sometimes, but with change always comes fear.

  5. It's called a leap of faith. By being brave enough  to take the first step, you will see there's plenty of adventure available. My first major move was cross country to college. After that, it became easier to pick up and move. Of course, joining the Military helped a lot too. In the 21 years I was in the service, we moved an average of every 2 1/2 years. Unfortunately, that made us more Nomadic in nature, moving is now ingrained into our systems. All the kids are grown and gone,  my  wife and I are free to travel more. Life is an adventure, why sit in one spot all the time? Live, Laugh and Love

  6. just do it,i relocated to a different country for a year, just be yourself. people are either going to like you or not but that is the same the world over. go for it.

  7. Oh my dear MotherPeanutbutter, don't be afraid.

Look at it as an opportunity! You have a chance to do what you want and be whoever you want without anyone having preconcieved notions about you. I moved to China all by myself at 18 without knowing a f*ing thing about this place and it's been awesome. Like the previous person said, people will like you or not the world through. You just have to have a sense of adventure about it!

And remember, its only permanent if you want it to be, you can always go home. It might cost some money, but its probably never impossible.
