  1. nail polish remover.

  2. Stick it in a bowl full of Coke.  The citric acid will remove the finish overnight.  Imagine what it does to your teeth!

  3. There is a great product for removing any finish from metal, it's called BlueAway. I got it at Golfsmith for use on a melted ferrule and it worked great.

Before you do that, Scotty Camerons are worth a lot of money, maybe you should sell or trade it for something you like more. You might be surprised how much you can get for that putter.

  4. Do what you will - but I wouldn't recommend trying it.  The "Charcoal Mist" finish on a circa 62 is there to prevent glare and is supposed to resist scratches and corrosion.  No matter what you use (acid wash?) I think you will have a tough time getting it off, and you might end up ruining it.  If you don't like the finish you might want to trade it in on another model with the finish that appeals to you.
