I want to rent a specific car

Question

its mine and my boyfriends anniversary coming up and i wanted to do something extra special and rent his dream car. which would be a manual camero.

does any one know of a way for me to specifically search for that car in my area??

yeah, as the person above said, renters typically do replace all their cars every couple of years (or even less time) with new or certified pre-owned ones, and the Camaro has been discontinued until the new one is released in 2009 and will presumably be much more expensive ($45k+ or something? not sure) and rare than most cars.  

your idea is a very nice and thoughtful one, but its kind of a difficult thing to do.

you could put an ad in the paper (or something similar) for Camaro owners of the model year your boyfriend likes (ask him if you're not sure what year it is) requesting to pay to rent the car for the day.

id just be sure that the owner is aware if it affects the car's title or anything legal like that so you don't wind up in any liability trouble should something happen to the car while its in your boyfriend's use, or even set up some kind of written contract with signatures for legal reaosns. if your boyfriend wants the 2009 one, that'll be MUCH, much harder (nigh impossible). great gift idea though, good luck!

Since they haven't made camaros for years now (new one comes out next year), no rental car agency is going to have something older than a few years on their lot...../
