I want to rent in perth but currently live in adelaide

I need to be out of this place by the end on september and need to look for a house in Perth but am unable to fly out there to inspect properties. Can i get my boyfriend who lives in Perth to inspect houses for me and get me applications to fill out?

he can fill an application on your behalf however you need to have a document or go thru a process to say you authorise him to apply for you because they need your signature however and they need photocopies of your i.d bank statements etc.... i have been in a similiar situation myself a few yrs ago and u know what i did??

its called the fax machine.

basically u can get your boyfriend to inspect the places and either him or the agent can fax u the application forms wichever ones easier and faster and then u fax them back filled to the agent with your signature and all your details and your bank details and i.d etc too.

i basically did that 3 yrs ago wen i was applying for my place because the agentcy that was renting the place was 90 mins away by car. so i saved about 3 hours driving time just by going 2 my local shop 5 mins down the road and spending $4 2 fax everything. $4 well spent i say as i would of spent a heap on petrol. lol.
