  1. Well, I don't know the condition of the furniture or anything like that. But, painting the furniture is also a possibility. If you can't do that, maybe try painting the walls a pale gray and doing something funky with the window and door trimmings like painting them black.  Pictures and wall decoration can spice up the walls too.  I always find amazing stuff at second hand stores like Goodwill and thrift stores. Have fun with it, and good luck!

  2. an orange would go perfect with it! Try to draw a "blue print" of your room and color in the walls orange and see if you like it. another color would be a violet or light shade of purple. good luck though! oh yeah to change it around how about this- move the furniture around, just buy some cheap basic things like circle wall mirrors to hang up, how about some posters?, instead of your average boring curtain get a bright color that matches your room and then get a beaded curtain and they would go so great together! I love redecorating!!!!!

  3. play around with the Sherwin Williams color visualizer to find colors that you like. It is the best paint visualizer on the web, imho. I like how their color palette is laid out, I like that you can search by color family & color name, the "painted" rooms look the most realistic, and it suggests coordinating color schemes. You can literally spend hours:

I think deep purple like "stunning shade" (# 7082) would look terrific with the mint green.

You can also take a photo of your house & upload it to the makeover gallery on this website:

You can get color suggestions & they'll photoshop them onto your room so that you can get an idea of what it will look like.
