I want to repeat an image on my new vista word but don't know how?

i make my own baking paper for hand made cards, which i did successfully with word on my old pc. now i have vista and can no longer get it to work...i either get a white line between the images or i can't reduce the size without it bouncing back up again!! please help

you usually highlight the image right click on it and select copy  the click on your page and select paste
