I want to replace my 8.5kw electric shower with a more powerful one?

i have a 8.5kw electric shower thats pretty old and leaks badly, it needs replacing.

I want to replace it with a 10.5kw electric shower instead so its more powerful.

Can this be done or would it need to be re-wired? if so does that turn a small job for a electrician into a big job?

by the way i dont want a power shower or any other type.

Depends on what size breaker/wire that is presently being used(ie 40 or 50 amp).You might have to go up one size.
