I want to reprogram my computer...HELP!?

my laptop had like this huge virus on it and it won't do anything i can't click on anything nothing opens up

so i pretty much need to reprogram it

can someone help me?

Okay a few tips for next time:

Programming and Design is an area for computer programming, meaning writing programs. This has nothing to do with the installation of operating systems (like windows).

what you are looking to do is to format your hard drive and re-install the operating system.

Search for "re-install windows XP" on yahoo answers or another search engine, and you will get many, many answers, with a whole lot of options.

Is there any registry protection software running in your system?

See whether you can restore back your PC to a date when your was working perfectly.

go to programs-->accessories-->system tools-->system restore.

there u find bold letters with date..click any one of the date and go to next next..up to restart.

then your laptop will be cleared all the problems...

Your laptop should have come with a Systems disk or a Restore disk, just put it in and reboot, hopefully you can restore everything back to when you first got it.

Your not going to be able to reprogram your computer, unless you are a Microsoft engineer, what you need to do is remove the virus. Type in Google pack in Google and download Norton Security Scan and Spyware Doctor, install both programs and let them do full scans, that should clean up your computer pretty well, you may need to run several scan to remove the virus and spyware.

If you can not download anything, insert the restore disks that came with your laptop and run a full system restore.

OK if you have the recovery CD insert it in your cd rom and follow all the prompts and instructions, this will wipe your hard drive of all that data and reinstall windows back to factory defaults, you will have to download all the windows updates and reinstall in software that your currently have installed
