  1. Taking care of a horse can be costly with just the up keep alone. Therefore, there are many horse owners that would be willing to give riding lessons for small fees in order to help out with the up keep of the horses. Plus it is good socialization for the horses. Usually you can look around in your local classifieds for people advertising for riding lessons. Ask these people plenty of questions about how long they have been doing this? Is the horse normally accustomed to others riding her/him? How does this go? Who will be with me? What do you do in the case of a problem with the horse? etc...

Just some ideas and suggestions. Good luck!

  2. call stables, some of them let you "rent" horses for lessons.

  3. if you live in england then just go to a horse stable that teaches riding cos they always have horse for you to ride for free

the lessons don't cost that much if you volunteer to work there too,

e.g cleaning p**p and grooming and feeding

  4. Look around for horse stables around where you live some of them will give you horse lessons.

  5. you can buy horses all day long for $30 each.

  6. If you are just starting most stables will allow you to ride lesson horses. Once you start getting better you can look into Leasing a horse( You only pay to take care of the horse but you do not buy the horses) or Half-leasing ( you only pay half of the horses expenses but only get to ride half the days).
