I want to save all my pics to disc and I have forgotten how can someone please help me i have windows xp?

Please don't let the length of this answer scare you, it really isn't that bad once you get started.

You have to have a CD writer for your computer, if you have one get a blank CD-RW and place it in the CD writer drive.  

A CD will hold 700 MB of information, right click on the folder your pictures are in, click on the general tab to see how many MB are being stored, if it is less than 700 MB then you can do this in one shot otherwise you will have to break it down a bit.

If it is less than 700 MB:

1. open the folder you have the pictures stored in

2. click on the edit button at the top of the folder

3. click on select all

4. right click on one of the highlighted pictures and choose copy

5. open my computer and click on the CD writer drive

6. right click and choose paste

7. Let the computer do it's thing and when it is done you will have to write them to the disk, choose this option which is usually on the left side of the screen.  Let it do it's thing and when it's finished insert the CD in the new computer and open my computer again, click on the drive the CD is in, repeat 2, 3 and 4 above.  Choose the folder you want to store the pictures in on the new computer and complete by using # 6 above.

If you have more than 700 MB you will have to choose which pictures for the first round:

1. open the folder where your pictures are stored

2. highlight the first picture

3. hold the shift button down

4. click on the picture you want to be the last picture

5. release the shift button

6. right click on one of the highlighted pictures and choose copy

7. open my computer and click on the CD writer drive

8. right click and choose paste

Follow the above instructions for “if it is less than 700MB” #7

Now if you want to use the same CD to get the rest of the pictures you will have to erase it.  Insert the CD in the writer drive but this time choose erase CD on the left hand side.  Now go back to the original folder and get the rest of the pictures following above instructions.  

I used a different CD and when I was done I had a backup of all of my pictures.
