i would like to do something like help people build houses or organize charity events [bake sales], or help people in need. can you reccomend a program for me? i'm thirteen, so something in my age group. THANKS(:

It cannot be done dont allow yourself to be used by a band Hipocrytes People building houses for poor people in Africa ! How Happy only infront of Camera cause in reality no body cares !

theyre many Peoples dying and even asking humanitarian organisations for help and just are answered that they do not need such help

hm go find yourself something more usefull to do than just allowing yourself to be used by big Corporates ! Its not so colorful does volunters arent there to help People but just becuse  they were either forced or had nothing to do !

They often have programs so you can 'save the world' :)

your wish is impossible to fulfill, you can't save the world, one person can't save it. You should change your wish like "I want to help others!" You just should think how you could help some individuals and it depends what you have to offer others. Some people don't have money but when they want to help others they use just words. This is also a sort of help one can give and a better help than the money itself.

There are so many problems in the world and so many people who need help. For example, Georgia, being invaded by Russia and under Russian aggression!!! How they need a help, any kind of help, even words!!!

Churches  are  always  in  need  of  volunteers,  so  check  with  your  church  leaders  or  have  your  Mom  check  for  you.  

The  Red  Cross  uses  lots  of  youth  volunteers  when  there  is  a  crisis  like  flooding,  hurricanes  or  tornado's.

I  began  volunteering  when  I  was  about  9  yrs.  old  at  my  church.  I  had  a  new  bicycle  with  a  basket    and  I  delivered  bagged  donuts  in  the  neighborhood  for  the  kitchen  cooks  who  were  selling  donuts  to  raise  money  for  the  church.  From  there,  I  began  teaching  pre-schoolers  on  Sunday  mornings.  By  the  time  I  was  13  yrs.  old  I  was  the  pianists  for  the  children's  choir.  By  the  time  I  was  an  adult,  I  was  publishing  the  Church  bulletin/newsletter,  Church  Bus  Chauffeur  and  cooking  meals  for  the  elderly,  plus  teaching  Bible  classes.
