  1. just put in fayetteville s*x offenders registry or whatever county in a search.

  3. I understand where you are coming from, I wouldn't like convicted s*x offenders near my kids. But I have a problem - just where are these people supposed to go. What are they meant to do - wander out into the wilderness.

Having said that the wilderness is probably too good for them. But society says that they have paid for their sins, so they are free to live where they like (well, just about).

As regards photos plastered all over town, that is called harassment. So what to do. There are registers that we can look at; the bottom like is that we need to look out for our kids - and, yes, that means 24/7.

Finally, a about seven years ago, a bunch of locals got all fired up after a particular nasty spate of s*x offences in the South of England. Hundreds marched around the city with placards saying "no s*x offenders in our town" or words to that effect.

Afterwards some of the marchers with strong feelings decided to show one of the s*x offenders just what they thought of him. They went to his house, dragged him outside and kicked him to death. His crime: he was a pediatrician!

  4. Um... remember that these database will show you only people who are convicted of sexual offending crimes. It will NOT show you people who have not been charged -- which is *most* sexual predators.

Talk to your Human Resources department at the place you work and tell them your concerns. And also educate yourself about how to prevent your children from being sexually exploited -- remember that most children who are harmed are harmed by friends and family members, not strangers.

  5. go to "s*x offenders  [enter you zip code] " and Google it
