I want to sell one item on ebay, but being ask for credit card for a monthly account?

I want to sell a watch on ebay, but the sell screen took me to another page and a bunch of talk about monthly earnings and fees. I want to sell one item not fifty. How does this work?

You need to provide your credit card details to set up an ebay account.  But how you pay the fees is for you to decide.  They will not automatically charge your credit card without you setting this up.  When I was starting out on Ebay I found this site helpful.  http://ebayingtoearnmoney.blogspot.com/

You have to become a registered seller before you start selling stuff on eBay.  This is to protect buyers from crooks who post phony listings.  Take a look at the help pages before you signup.

If you're only going to sell one item, and never go back to eBay, maybe you'd be better off selling on craigslist.com?
