I want to send a Care Package to my Husband who is doing his BCT in Georgia! Can I send him one and how?

I want to send my husband things he may need like stamps, envelopes, paper, hygiene stuff, can i send these things to him in a care package?

  1. He will have a chance to go shopping once he is in BCT.  Don't send a package it will give him attention he doesn't want from the DI's.


  2. If your hubby is in basic training or subsequent training from basic he has facilities there to get the things he needs and gets paid 2x a month. If you just want to send a box (and it is not basic training) then he should provide an address in one of his letters.  

  3. You can send him all that stuff, in fact you'll probably be getting a letter from him soon with a return address. There are things he won't be allowed to have though, and I'm sure he'll tell you what they are.

    Recruits have opportunities to buy most of those things from the post exchange during basic training... supervised by their drill sergeants, of course.

  4. Don't send anything more than a picture of yourself (not in the nude or s**y) and maybe some self addressed stamped envelopes. Don't send in a box. Just send in a large envelope.
