Shouldn't it be your brother doing the inviting?  Unless you have the same friends and he's asked for your help on the invitations, don't overstep your bounds.

A card (invitation) is the proper way to invite someone to a wedding. However, I would suggest you ask your brother and future sister-in-law to do the inviting as is the respectful and normal way invitations are made.

After all, it is their wedding and they may not want your friend(s) there.

Who is hosting the wedding?  The invitation should come from the hosts.

It is very bad form to go ahead and invite people when you're not the host.

If your friends are going to be invited to your brother's wedding, then he and his fiancee should be sending them invitations already.  It's not your business to invite your friends or to presume that they are invited without your brother's permission.

(Somehow my future sister-in-law decided that she was randomly going to invite her friends, too - where do you guys get these ideas??)
