I have just registered with messenger and tried sending an sms to my own mobile but its not going thru my mobile is airtel bangalore.should I add some prefix?

well the easiest way to send a text to your phone is via email, i am not sure exactly what it would be but here is an example, i have verizon so this is what mine looks like,

[e-mail] (text message)

[e-mail] (pixture/video message)

google it and see exactly what yours would be
