If I buy one of those all-in-one machines will the phone ring differently for a fax and a phone call?

What about voicemail? It picks up after six rings right now. Will I have to fiddle with that?

I know this is a lot of questions. Sorry about that. Any help is greatly appreciated.

  1. You don't need a fax machine. You can just use an Online fax service. Faxes will be sent from your email account. You don't need any software or an additional phone line. Go to http://www.myfax.com

  2. winfax use your modem. My favorite way is by using a printer driver that sends a fax through the modem. Also, you can get a fax, (I have a printer-scanner-fax all in one) and just plug it in to send, then unplug it again.

  3. WnFax is your answer.

It is a software that uses the internet to send your fax to a fax machine much like a voip telephone sends voice through the internet and it also will recieve your fax and put it in your email box a really great home office solution, and takes up a lot less space than one of those scanner/printer/fax machines.

  4. Personally, I do have a fax machine, but I keep it separate from my phone. I only hook it up to the phone line when I have set it up with another person to send or receive a fax. That way I ensure that I do not receive unwanted faxes and waste a lot of paper. I do not know what your situation is, but this seems to work for me just fine. Maybe this idea might help you.
