I'm a high school sophomore hoping to do this. I feel sincerely for the families of those who have been deployed. My cousin was sent to Iraq (and died) and left behind a young wife and 2 VERY young children (1 and 3). I would like to start sending gifts to those just to show that I care. How could I do this?

  1. I've been active duty US Army for 12 years and my husband has been in for a long time too.  They tell family members not to give out their personal address because there is a chance that someone might send them false news of deployed Soldiers being passed away when they are actually alive.

It's very sad when a Soldier or other Service Member dies while serving for their country.  Your cousin is a hero not because he had passed, but doing something he believed in.

If you want to help it is best to go through organizations such as Operation Home Front who helps troops and Family Members that are in need when their spouse are deployed.
