  1. I think you should just leave it be. Youtube was here first. We dont need copycats.

  2. youtubers upload 10 hours of video every MINUTE.

  3. I think a 9600 baud modem should provide plenty-o-bandwidth for even the highest definition videos...

  4. 56k is too much power man, I would see if you can find a 24k connection to run off of. Make sure you are using SD RAM and 128mb at the most.

  5. If it proves to be too powerfull I have a nice 386SX-16 system I'll donate for it. I believe it has a 20MB hard drive, too.

  6. In short... no chance in h**l.

  7. Good.

  8. Well if you're perfectly serious.... Just answer this.

Can your 486PC with 1GB hard drive and 56k internet connection play Youtube videos without stuttering/buffering?

    The answer is the same.

  9. "I think you should just leave it be. Youtube was here first. We dont need copycats."

I Don't agree, this is a free world. Its called competition.

But to answer your question, No i don't think your comp would stand a chance.

Plus you cannot do it yourself, but stay positive! If you hear or find a group that's working on a project to overturn YouTube (which of course can be done, just not in the next 10 years I'd say. Look what Skype did to Internet Video Communication) then you should offer your services to them if you feel up to it. I'd say for now though, just focus on another topic.
