  1. It's ussually not worth shipping cars internationally due to the taxes you have to pay in Australia. And it's recently gotten even harder as the laws have cracked down making it even more expensive and not worth bringing car internationally. And price depends on what the car is, how old it is ect. Also even if you do get the car here it may not pass aussie roads checks and some cars are banned here. So after you pay at least $5000 for shipping you still have to worry about taxes, then to modify anything that doesn't fit our requirments (a fair bit of work and money and not many mechanics do this), then re-apply for raods test and cross your fingers it passes. It's alot of c**p and alot of money. But if your still interetsed call a local mechanic who does imports and he will probably scare you out of it unless it's a classic.

    Good Luck!

  2. Unless you are just coming on a holiday its not worth either the expense or the effort. Really, its not, no arguments!

If its for a holiday, get the shortest shipping route across the Tasman and then drive across.

  3. The best is to go to this website:  www.australiatrade.com.au/shipping/Impor...
