I'm currently with verizon and have a landline/dsl/direct tv bundle for like $140/month. Anyone out there doing something different for less money? I live in the greater Philadelphia area.

  1. I have Time Warner cable/Digital Cable/digital phone bundle - about the same price as yours. The only difference is the computer speed is faster. You must have a Cellphone for safety purpose, since the cable is powered by electricity. If there is a blackout, you will not have anything. On the other hand, the Verizon phone line - there is one wire supply power, the other wires supply signals. In the event of a blackout, Verizon phone still can call out/in. Senior citizen, sick persons, must use Verizon. Use Cable/digital phone, you must have a working Ceil phone. The DSL is slower than cable. Good Luck!

  2. try the cable company

  3. go dish

  4. We're paying around $115, but my husband gets a discount because of his job.  I think w/o the discount it is $149.00.  Does yours include unlimited long distance?  If it doesn't then you are paying way too much.  Otherwise it sounds about normal.

  5. i have OOL (cable modem) with boost, giving me 30/5 speeds for about $65 a month... (with out the boost its $15-20 less)

magicjack for phone about $50 first year, $20 a year after that...

and stream all my video from the internet from ovguide.com

but pricing the diffrent video options dish has the cheapest package with decent programing, about $20/mo
