I want to sign out of a groups, but it won!t let me? why??

If you mean that you want to not be a member of that group anymore, do this:

Sign in to the group and click "Edit Membership" near top of page.

Scroll down to bottom right side of screen and click "Leave Group". Another screen will come up, click "Leave Group". You will then be instantly unsubscribed from the group. It might take a day or so to stop receiving messages from the group, then they will stop coming to you.

Go to the group's  site, click on edit membership along the top.  In the next window scroll down and tick leave group Click save changes and you should be out.  It may take a day to take effect
