  1. Best thing to do first is go to their website AJGA.org and become a member first.  Then you have to figure out which tournaments you want to apply to.  You will need to figure out a golfing resume so to speak and write down your golfing accomplishments.  This will be helpful for the individual tournament applications.  If they don't accept you, usually you get into a qualifier.  I did a qualifier in Canada about 8 years ago shot 3 over for the round and got in. Depends on the difficulty of the course though obviously. When you become a member they send you all the information you need in the mail anyway.

Edit: Like I said when you get your membership I think they will send you all of the tournament applications you need. That's what it was like 8 years ago but I don't know today.

  2. you have to sign up for the monday qualifier. tourneys are tues-thurs. if you qualify for the tourney (different amounts of players qualify depending on how many people try and the size of the field already in the tournament) then you get to play in it. once you play in it, your finish can earn you exemptions so you dont have to qualify and can enter straight into tournaments. the ONLY way to get into tournaments without exemptions or stars (another AJGA thing) is from a sponsor's exemption which doesnt come easily.  you can also earn exemptions from placing well in other highly respectable junior tournaments, i.e, the Big I, Pepsi Little People, etc.
