I want to sign up for the Teen/Student Checking account at Bank Of America, and I am 16 Years Old. Can I sign up inside Bank Of America alone, or do I need a parent/someone older than 18 to be with me? I have the proper ID's I would need.

  1. you shouldn't have to, but give them a call and ask them.  They may require it since you are not legally able to be held accountable for anything you sign'

  2. You should call Bank of America and ask them these questions.  They are the ones who will give you the correct answers.

  3.     well hello there, i work for B of A, so i guess i would be delighted to answere your question for you.

first of all, thank you for your bussiness we look forward to meeting and helping you.

okay, you dont need a parent because it is a student checking and you are 16, that is old enough to make an account with us, and as for the proper id you can use your learners permit/drivers license, a student id card, a passport, a state issued id card. pretty much we can take alot of differnt ids yet a social security card will not work, you would need one of the other ids.

also i hope you know that your account will be free for 5 years as well as a savings account, and we do NOT charge you for anything ( even when you are out of school for summer or in between high school and college).

          hope i could help you

  4. you need a parent.  You could call them before you go and ask.

  5. You need a parent because you are a minor.
