I want to sing in the talent show this year.Any tips?

Ok im going into 8th grade this year and it's my last year in middle school. I reallly want to do the talent show. I know it's in a long time but I have to perfect the song. I want to sing this is me by Demi Lovato. The song really does explain me haha. So what are some tips I should know before I do this. Thanks.
