I'm going into 8th grade next year and I am really starving for challenge. I get an adgerage of b's c's and the rare a but thats not because in not smart its because i am so tired of the easy home work that i used to get when i was in 3rd grade i dont do it so i get poor grades. from k-5 i always got mostly a's and some b's, and 6th i got good grades but 7th i kinda slipped, but i got a's and b's on my final score. If i do really good next year and get all a's will i beable to skip the ninth grade with my b's and c's from 6th and 7th?

  1. That really depends on how your school system works.  States have different policies on "skipping" grades.  Your current grades don't appear to be good enough to make your wish come true.

Some states require a test so you may want to research that.  Also, I know our district has enhanced programs for gifted students but normally teachers have to recommend students for that program.

Talk with the teachers to see if they can give you more challenging work, our daughter was in 9th grade and taking an advanced math class because she was breezing through the general class.  She struggled in the advanced class but we felt it was well worth it.

    Good luck

  2. If your looking for a challenge go to the library and pick up some "for dummies books"  like physics,  or calculus or something.  That's what I did.  Don't skip grade nine.  High school is fun,  u wanna be there as long as you can be.

  3. You need to talk to your guidence councelor. She/he will be able to tell you what you have to do. Plus, you're going to have to get all A's.
