Anywhere on the Gower coast, Tenby or Saundersfoot is nice.  Very picturesque, with lovely beaches.  If you,re looking for great nightlife though Swansea is the place.  Brilliant clubs like Escape, and excellent pubs and bars.

I particularly like the Snowden area  and Betys Y coed(sp)..

Fabulous cheap camp sites iin the area...and there is one h**l of a pub there where they play Jazz on a friday night.

Beautiful ickle town.

Brecon is nice to (the festival that is).

It depends on what you want. Cardiff can be good for a city holiday, otherwise Bala is very beautiful and Tenby is good for the beach and there are water sports around too. My personal favourite is Portmeirion area where you can visit the village made famous in 'The Prisoner' cult tv series, visit beaches and go on a steam railway to Ffestiniog picnic and visit a reservoir and slate mine. Something for everyone I'd say.
