I want to spend a year in europe? any programs for volunteer or that help you pay for college?

Ive been out of hs for a year just working and i'd really like to go to europe for a year and eventually back to college. My parents have no money yet they make too much for financial aid grants, but i'd like to live in europe for a year too I need to get away from here. Are their any programs or any options I have??

Volunteering overseas, for an unskilled person such as yourself (just out of HS), is going to cost *you* -- flights, accommodations, in-country transportation, staff to supervise you, training, etc., etc.

Have you thought about AmeriCorps? That program allows you to serve in another state (but still within the USA) and provides money for college. It's the government-funded national service program:
