I want to spray paint a cotton jacket.What to do i need help.?

Question

So basically I want to do some spray painting on a jacket of mine i want to no if anyone can recommend any paints i no acrylic can work but i want the spray paint look i herd that if you spray hairspray on the paint it will stay on is that true?

Any answers will be appreciated!

Swooki: You need to buy fabric spray paint, it will stay soft after painting.  Auto supply stores and Walmart carry if for upholstery paint.  See link below
