I want to start a band...

ok me and my friends want to start a band...do you have advice? or band names that u'd recommend... how would we get known? if anyone has anything to say...say it now or forever hold ur peace... lmao

yeah,

make sure the lead guitarist PRACTICES!

get a drummer that won't quit on you!

make sure your amp dosen't buzz or make static sounds all the time

and above all else, Don't buy expensive guitars iunless you know what your doing.

good brands for guitar: Epiphone, gibson, Ibanez, ESP, Fender,

good brands for bass: Fender, ESP

Good brands for drums: Yamaha

Good brands for amps: Fender, Vox, Marshall

good effect pedals: Ibanez

try a random band name generator, or talk it over with the band mates.

Advice

Know who is going to make the decisions. The majority?

Who pays for what?  Who selects or writes the music? Who decides what happens in each piece?

This is a big step.  It can make you all best of friends or it can tear you apart.

Have a plan.  Start searching for venues to play, and of course where are you going to rehearse? when? and on and on and on.

A very good friend wrote that if you plan you will suceed, if you don't then your plan is to fail.
