Plus even if we did start a band we don't have anywhere to practice that is an equal distance from everyone because some of them live in St. Pete. and some live in Clearwater. And we need somewhere to do gigs on a regular basis that would let minors perform.

  1. So what is your question?

  2. The band doesn't get on with fellow members, you've nowhere to practice and you don't play gigs?Sounds like the making of a Supergroup.Rock-on.

  3. maybe find new people for the band

  4. well if some of them dont want to start a band dont bother trying to convince them... or if you are gonna do gigs i guess you could convince them because you'll get money from gigs. a place 4 u guys to practice could be like someones garage or something does it matter if its equal distance from all of u? and for a place to do gigs as long as its not like hard rock you could do like a coffee shop or something

  5. Then forget about it with these people.....advertise in your local paper for musicians who have the ability's that your looking for. People who don't like one another will never work out....imagine what will happen when you have a disagreement on how something should be played, I'm sure that you'll get lots of replies, there's lots of guys out there who are looking for someone to makeup a band with, good luck with this, !!!!!!!

  6. What's your question?

You have friends that can't stand each other, and no place to practice.  You have no gigs, but that's OK since you don't have a band anyway -- you have a fantasy.

  7. That is why some rock bands break up, be prepared for that to happen if there is friction already.

  8. A lot of the times bands break up because they don't get along or because they live far away from each other but if you guys were all willing to make the band happen, all of you would put aside the obsticles and do what it takes to put together a band. If getting a long is a problem make sure to let them all know this is just band bussiness they don't have to get a long if they don't want. All you have to do is focus on the music.

  9. Well I think, you need to get together with whomever you would like to be in your band, and then have a talk about why people like and dislike other people.

  10. Then this project is already doomed.  Sorry and good luck.

  11. Knowing this, starting a band anyways will only cause more clashing between your friends. You should probably not start one. But if you are insistent on having one anyways, look for other people to collaborate with. Or, if you are just mainly interested in singing, but only want a band so there is accompaniment, try grouping with an existing band. Contact local stores, malls, and opening/celebration events to see if they are interested. Parks are always good places to practice, plus, it lets people sample your music and contact you if they like it (advertising while practicing). Then again, you could always do the classical someone's garage idea.
