  1. i disagree with the person that said to delete anything that asks for money- how can a business be started without any money? Frankly I'd be more leery if something promised to pay me like a business WITHOUT any start up!

For $50 a year you can refer people to book their travel at your site or through the Concierge desk. You also get all the small business expenses; electronics, office supplies, cell phone, internet, etc.

If you like doing that you can upgrade and get commission from all the travel booked through everyone in your downline, but you certainly don't have to look into that option unless you want to.

  2. Well by asking the question you did, you became a spam magnet. Ignore any responses that have a link.  There were nine postings that have been deleted.

Delete anything that asks you for money.

If it sounds too good to be true, it is too good to be true.

  3. A home based travel business is something to seriously consider.

The profile page has more information.

  4. Not everything that asks for a "fee' is a scam. You have to look at it like getting into ANY business, there is going to be an investment of some sort. Like if you were opening a cafe or a book store. You have to invest in the necessary items to open your business. Its not going to be free right?  The thing is with home business is you have to find what is right for you and what your money will be going towards. There are scams out there but there are also great opportunities. Email me if you would like info. I would be happy to help:)

  5. at home saling jewellery, ladies things etc.

  6. You should read the answer I just wrote to someone who asked about ways to raise money rather than me retyping the same things over and over again. My answer to her will apply to your question as well and I won't get carpal tunnel syndrome. Only YOU really know what will work for you but check out the ideas that I gave and see if anything works for you. Also, check the archives here because your question is asked and answered over and over again... and stay away from the survey stuff. You've got too much time and talents to get into that trap (aka c**p). What you need to do is build a business you are proud of and that gets so many compliments your customers find you. When you find and fill a need, you can fill your wallet with money and your life with purpose. Email me if you'd like to throw out some business ideas and get my opinions. I love to talk business.

  7. I was in the same boat about a little over a year ago.  I was a Mary Kay customer (I was huge on skin care, not so much makeup at that time) and needed a part time job to supplement my income. I had been approached a few times by my Mary Kay Rep and she thought I'd be a fabulous consultant. Anyhow, I was somewhat skeptical and didn't think too much about it until I needed the extra income.  So, long story short I became an independent beauty consultant and since last summer I've become a Mom and am kicking things into high gear to make this my full time job.  I loved that I wasn't making money for other people and was running my own business. No rules, just me being me and doing things at my own pace. There's plenty of people around for support and/or guidance if I want it too. Anyhow, if it sounds like something you may be interested in feel free to email me and we can discuss. Also, my website address is www.marykay.com/courtneywilson. There's information on my website about becoming a consultant as well. Good Luck!

  8. I agree with Angela S and April S have to say.  I gave them a thumbs up.

So you want to start a business from home.  Basically your looking to start a home based business.  There are a lot of different things you can do to have a home based business.

One way to have a business is to start one on your own.  Such as Child Daycare Center, Travel Agent, Tax preps, Insurance Agents, Charters etc.  All these things will require some schooling and certifications to obtain in order to open up a business within these  industries.  A lot of investments to be made for schooling as well as other things for prepration to the start up of the business.

An easier route would be to collaborate with an already well established business.  Have a business within their business.  You have the same income opportunity as a traditional business, or a solely owned home based business, without all the over head expenses, start up costs are way less, and you really don't have to attend schooling and pay for that as well.  I know a lot of different people who went through this route and make an incredible living with their home based business.  When collaborating with a business the primary business handles things that would normally cost you thousands a month.

One type of business you should look into is in the telecommunications industry.  That is one thing you can do is market in a product and service that people use every day and pay for anyway. Services such as local and long distance telephone services, Internet services, digital and video phone services, VOIP, Satellite TV as well as all the major cellular phone providers such as Verizon, T-Mobile, Sprint, AT&T,Alltel Netxtel etc. What you'd do would be to save people money on services that they are already using and paying for each month and offer people services that they don't have.  You can up grade and extend contracts through the major cellular phone providers or put people onto new contracts as well.  AFter you've helped someone on a service they already have, or put them on a new service, you would make a percentage of their billings every single month they pay their bills.

So that's one thing you can do.

  9. Well, you sure got an interesting variety of answers here but none of them seem to be addressing your question!

What kind of thing are you interested in?  Health?  Beauty? Cooking?  Books? a combination of things maybe?  That's where you want to start because you want to get into a business that involves something that you either know something about or want to learn about.  If you're not excited about what you're doing you're off to a bad start right there.

You can either start something from scratch which is expensive to do, or you can join an MLM that has everything in place for you.  If you choose to join an MLM, make sure they have free training and ongoing support with real people.  Quite often I hear from people who have had bad experiences with companies that don't offer that.  Also, check out everything about them before you make any sort of a commitment.  A legit company will allow you to evaluate their business before ever asking you to join and by rights, their start up cost should be low.

Secondly, you'll need to decide if you want to carry inventory or not as that will determine how much of a start up cost will be involved.

From here you should be okay but if you'd like to learn more, feel free to either contact me directly or visit my profile for more info.
