I want to start a daycare that also provides a kindergarden and preschool program? How do I get started?

Ok, Im a college student who is getting ready to get there bachelors in Education. I want to own a daycare as well as a Preschool and Kindergarden program. Now I've been searching for 2 years trying to find some information, I got abunch of books, and everything, and information on grants and everything. I just want to know what is the best way to start out? For example what's better a Modular building? what's a good size? What should I do first? Im really confused! PLEASE HELP!! lol

  1. OK--start by looking up your local  "Child Care Resource and Referral"  agency.  All states have them in one form or another.  In Wisconsin, for example, they are in several counties and go by different names, but the generic name is what I stated above....... They can help you get started, get questions answered etc.  You will also have to speak repeatedly with your state's child care licensing agency (google it for your state) and have all the health and safety requirements met before you can get a license to do this.   Start there, and they can continue to point you in the right direction.
