I want to start a snowboard company, is right now a good time or a bad time to start one?

what I'm basically asking is if right now is a bad time to start one, are sales down In Snowboards, just like that stuff

now snowboarding is about everybody, I'm 42 y old and started this year.

I'll start to produce customized snowboard design (top and insole - two sides are designed with your color and design).

I'll start with the best prices for the first ones.

Sales ARE down in boards. some Board companies have started making skis. I sugest makig gear and mabye skateboards or mountian boards.

people on yahoo answers aren't going to give you knowlegable and trust worthy answers.  You should do your own market research, so you know you can trust it.  

If you don't  want to do the market research, you probably shouldn't start a company until you are willing to do the boring parts of business

Get started planning.  And you could try to start advertising during the mid-late summer.  That's what I would say.

not now. do some intense planning so you'll be more likely to succeed. what type of snowboard company are you trying to start though. people wont even consider you with companies like oakley, burton, rome, R.E.D, 32, vans, DC and Forum. If you can beat your competitors right now without any planning, good luck m friend
