I want to start an animal rescue center?

how would I go about doing that??

how much money do I need, what people do I need to talk to?? Basically any tips you can give me would be awesome...

You need  cash,  try raising  funds with sales  and  other  persons .  I know one  town that  has  built up to  a  thrift  store for this  purpose. But you need  a  place  for the  sale. You  will need  a  vet to work with you after it opens if you get  that  far. A lot  to consider.

Are you sure you want that? It's a huge responsibility having a shelter. You should try volunteering at one before you decide you want to start one. You need tons & tons of money for start up, and to pay the medical bills if an animal comes in and is sick. You'll probably need a vet to work with you and you need money to have all the animals spayed & neutered and trained and all that. You wouldn't be able to take a day off after you started, the animals need you there everyday. You can't be lazy one day and decide not to come in.

You'll need someone to do paper work, you'll probably need to have some extra hands around to help with animals.

How many do you want to be able to take in? Make sure that you don't let just one more in past that number, because thinking 'Oh one more wont hurt' and keep letting more & more & more in will just be more trouble for you.

Cats or dogs or both? you have to make sure you can afford feeding all those animals, and that you have space for them all.

Do you have an area that you can build a building in to house the dogs and cats? Will the dogs be kept outside or inside? are you going to take in other animals too like rabbits & ferrets?

It's seriously a huge deal to think about. Just make sure you want it, and will be able to manage it and stuff for the next like 20 years at least.

i do a bird rescue 4 a vet here. i bought cages off of a auction site so it was cheaper.i also buy my food in bulk. talk to a petfood provider sometimes they will give you deals. also you can ask for donations
