Do you want an email list where people can all mail each other, or everyone can receive an email newsletter? Yahoo groups are good for that. Set up the group and everyone who joins can easily email everyone else. You can also have shared space to store group photos, files and things like that. Just go to Yahoo.com and click on groups.

If you want an email domain so that the members of your dance group can have a [e-mail] type address then you need to buy a domain name and pay for the email service. There are lots of companies that offer this but I personally use godaddy.com (You can use the code Cali for a 10% discount).
