  1. Dr. Lundberg replied: "It's not the deaths but the chronic brain damage that is so frequent." The AMA reports brain deterioration in three out of four boxers who have twenty or more professional fights.

Don't box. Be smart. Play something you can wear a helmet in.... or get so good at golf you can beat Tiger Woods. That would be awesome.

  2. Start punching the h**l outta people. That way you will definetly get stronger and be experienced fighter outside the ring and you will be able to lose some energy. Also eat healthy food while ur at it and have a good night sleep every night.

  3. I don't know a lot about boxing in particular, but for general nutrition make sure you get a lot of protein if you want to gain muscle.  (tuna is a great source and is low fat/colorie)  At your age you should definatly not use supplements.

  4. just exercise and eat healthy food.. stop eating pizzas and any other fast food that are popular here in the States..

  5. I play boxing too!For a girl! But I got some tips for you! When you jump in that ring you got's to give it with all you got! Try to make your stance, put up your hands right by your chest, and make your fist! there is everything that you got to know about boxing but the one thing is too NEVER BACK DOWN no mattter what and how much you don't care.Always work out and lift some waits! That is how you are going to get guns, and the pack for the girls ,and the ring!

  6. Your problem will be solved if you go and start working out at a boxing gym.Dont forget to do your roadwork everyday at least 3 miles and watch what you eat.

  7. welli dont know about the losing weight part. ill tell you what i do know.you dont really need to make your fist stronger.before even telling you that yet i do have to say that boxing is very hard work. it is not easy AT ALL.you will have to work very hard.stay fit and still be able to fight even if your tired. one thing you need to do is build up endurance. you can jog maybe 1 mile a day for a start which is not hard at all.you need to make your punches precise.if you dont have any sort of punching bag or anything like that you can try shadowboxing which is looking at yourself in a mirror and throwing punches at yourself not litteraly.you have to be able to take damage and still fight.you have a perfect height for a boxer.you do not need to look strong but you do need to be able to have strength.ok now you do not need to make your fist stronger. your fist and your wrist will be IN the boxing glove.you need to be able to lift the boxing glove while your hand is in it which is a good excercise for your arms.you will want to get boxing gloves and shadowbox so you can get used to the weight and the angle of which you punch.another good excercise is doing push ups with your fist instead of your palm.you really dont need a six pack thats just to show off your body. if you're more interested in showing your body than fighting the get the six pack. i warn you getting a six pack does take time. you will want to just fight and get your six pack as you go.im only 14 but i do know alot about boxing im going to be a boxer also.thats pretty much it.oh wait, there is a good technique for getting better at fighting without getting trained. i absolutely do not reccomend it but if youre willing.you can do this by fighting people maybe at school or some where else. if you fight people you will understand their reflexes and be able to know what they are going to do before they do it.they are not boxers but theyre wayyy easier unless they actually box of course.hope it helps and good luck may be ill see you out in the ring and wont even know it.

  8. Well my friend in boxing you have to train every part of your body. Although, you are 17 yrs old you might end up fighting boxers that are 25yrs or even older. But that shouldn't worry you much, just remember that they have been training more than you. To lose the weight you have to do a lots of road work but even better if you don't like getting seen running then buy yourself a jump rope. It works all of your body's muscle. Trust me this will get your fat gone and you will have some abs but let me tell you something its going to be hard to get them. It took me long to get them but the result are great. Just do diff rent exercises for the stomach don't just lay there and do the same thing over and over. And for your fist you should just do knuckles push ups. I wish you luck and never give up. Just remember that there is someone always stronger than you and you will lose some fights but don't let it go to your head as long as you give it all you got. I tell you this from experince and yes I am a boxer. Well good luck lad.
