I want to start business in embroidery work on clothes, bags etc. How do I start?

I've always wanted to start my own business selling small items like bags, cushions etc by sewing my own designs and hand-made embroidery. I'd like to start small and then expand, perhaps. But I don't know how to go about doing it? Please help.
