I disagree with garden club go to Walmart and pick and brand Upper deck or topps. Right now i would pick Upper deck if your under 17. Reason 1 you can go to upperdeckkids.com and add the codes from the back and try for prizes. Reason 2 each box contains a memorable card which is a jersey card from one of the players if you buy a box with us on it then you get one that's going to the Olympic probably. You might also get a number card which means that it could be 5 of 200 which means you have the 5 card printed out of the total 200. makes it worth more. Reason 3 they have a set you never finish a card for each game played at Yankees stadium  total set 6640 something. it  you email me i will make you a deal for most of series 1 and 2 to get you started. i sell cards.

Go to a baseball or baseball/sports paraphernalia store.  A friend of mine use to own one of these stores and they sold mostly baseball cards.

Pick your favorite player(s) from the past.  Then start collecting that person's cards.  You might even go on ebay to see if someone is selling baseball cards for your chosen player(s). The "baseball card store" is a great resource, so go there first.  Talk to the store owner, because they have a lot of knowledge.  They probably have collectors that pay big bucks if a "rare card" comes in.
