do I keep my body in control. I stretch right before, and I drink some water and go out for a run. Although as soon as I go my breathing is okay for a little while and I'm counting strides and keeping them going with my breathing but then my breathing goes all out of whack and goes way faster than before and I can't get it back. Then when I stop running my legs start to shake. What do I do for conditioning that will help me become a stronger runner?

  1. You should just keep running a little every day.  Believe me, it will get easier.  I just started cross country for the first time too.  I've also heard (but have never tried it) that short 30 second walking breaks won't affect your endurance.  Only take them when you really need them though.  Good luck.

  2. too much thinking!

remember when you were a kid? YOU JUST RAN, no thnking

  3. when your in a weight room work on your leg muscles and try to breath slow the whole way while you run it will help and start by practicing at steady paces where you could run a long time at or try running with a friend and go slow enough so you 2 can tlk that will help your breathing!

    hope i helped!

  4. If you have to learn to control your breathing and possibly go to a gym to work out your leg muscles. You can't just automatically stop running, you have to walk it out first then stretch a little more.
