  1. you never to old

    go for it

  2. hey there :)

first of all,u shud totally start gymnastics rite now.

u are not too old. u cud even become the world best gymnast!who knows? but u know whats the first thing u need? u need DETERMINATION & and second is PASSION! if u really wanna be the best gymnast,u can no matter how old u are.

its just that u need more effort than the others who start at an early age. ignore what people say, they'll only crush u.u urself have to believe that u can.

secondly, u have a lot of experience in cheerleading rite? cheerleading totally helps. cz u learn some basics in gymnastics when u learn cheerleading.so yeahh, ur not too old and u shud start gymnastics ok?

    have fun :)

  3. No way! Go ahead. You're still young and it's easy to learn things when your young then it is when your old. Cheerleading will definitely help more than you can imagine!

  4. I was wondering the same thing, too. I'm 13, and Shawn Johnson (Olympian, now 16) started when she was 6. I have been thinking that I'm too old to start now, but like Dara Torres (41 yr. old Olympian) said, "Never put an age limit on your dreams." I think we should all follow that saying.

  5. well it depends on what you can all do usually gymnasts get into gymnastics when their like 4 or 5. as you get older you get less flexible so theirs a grater chance of you hurting yourself. it takes allot of commitment. and if you want to do it because you watched it in the Olympics I'm sorry to say you will never ba able to go their if you didn't start 10 years ago.

  6. Yes it will.  I also suggest you take classes in it, and go to the camps they have for it.  Most schools have squads too.

  7. your too old to be a professional gymnast but, you could do it for fun.

you have to start when your young to make it.

  8. No you're definitely not too old to start. Ask whoever is signing you up to find a class that is geared towards older students so that you don't feel awkward there.

  9. Professionaly? Yes.

  10. no ur not. but there are next to no chances of getting to international level.

  11. Contrary to what people say, there is a point when you can't learn gymnastics anymore. You, on the other hand are at a good age to start.

The cheerleading will definitely help, but you'll need to transition to running tumbling instead of standing tumbling (if you do that).

  12. your never to old to follow a dream. your only old when you let someone convince you otherwise.

  13. yeah. cheer can help. you should start. if you are a fast learner and arent scared it should be easy

  14. It'll be very hard to become great at gym, but give it a shot.  The more time you spend practicing and taking gym classes, the better  And what sort of cheerleading experience are we talking about?  Because some cheerleaders just clap their hands and jump up and down, but other cheerleaders do round-off back handsprings into a formation of big, strong men, and then get thrown into the air and do flips before returning to earth.

  15. You are not too old! I am in my 30s and have always wanted to do gymnastics, and still do! Hopefully I'll get the courage to. It's like learning a new language. Sure it's easier the younger you start, but older people learn too, it just takes more effort.

  16. if you are flexible, and open to try it, then i would do it! have fun

  17. you should be open to trying new things, and it is quite difficult to change your cheer habits to gymnastic ones but it can be done, and as long as you have mediocre tumbling skills you should try it. just know that gymnastics is very different but i like it more.

you should definentley go for it

    you only live once :)

  18. if you want to start at this age and stick with it you will have to work very hard but it is def. possible.   the cheerleading will def. help     its never to late to start something

  19. If you have lots of experience with cheerleading, you should already be doing gymnastics or at least have trained in some way.

  20. hey, there are 80 year old ladies graduating from college... if they can do something they always wanted to do, why can't you? one of these days, i'm going to take ballet. i'm 26 now and in nursing school, so it might be awhile before i get there, but who says i can't take ballet when i'm 30...or 50? have fun in gymnastics, hun! :)

  21. your a little too old but i would deffinitly reccomnd taking classes. cheerleading really doesnt have that much in common with gymnastics. it is totally different. i'm a gymnast myself and started when i was about 5. im 15 now and im a level 9. even though you are 14 its not too, too late. just start with classes and see how it goes. you might just have that natural talent. =)

  22. I started gymnastics in HS and I had a lot of fun and I really got in shape!  Just remember it takes years of practice to get good.  So don't worry about competing, just have fun!

  23. no you are not to old. maybe if you wanted to go to the Olympics you would be too old to start, but you are never never to old to learn something new.

and yes cheerleading exp.. would help.

  24. You may be too old, but if your a good cheerleader, you might make it.

  25. no, you arent too old. i started when i was 14. you will have to learn to do jumps without prepping though! haha.
