I want to start my own cleaning business and i need to find out about how much I need to charge?

I don't want to charge too much, but then again I don't want to charge too little and not make a profit. How much would you charge? How much would you be willing to pay? (I would be taking all my own supplies.)

A former co-worker of mine started her own house cleaning business last year. I think she charges $18 or $20 per hour with a minimum charge of two hours.

I don't think you're going to have the best answers here to your question. You have to search in the real market. Call on your competitors and ask their price as you would do if you were going to ask for their services. You must know exactly how much they're charging, so you can find the right price for you to compete and even begin with a low price. Of course you'll have to consider your costs and you profit margin.
