I want to start playing the guitar and I have no idea what to do?

My brother has a electric guitar that he BARELY plays, and I want to start to learn how to play it.

I'm not exactly sure like where to get notes, I don't even know wich note is wich on the guitar..

Can you help? Like a tutorial video?

Hey Vanilla,

The basic way to get started on guitar is usually not to play individual notes but rather basic chords instead.  There are a few chords that will open up tons of doors for you.  Start by memorizing these chords and getting good at switching between these.  C-Major, G, Major, D Major

The horizontal lines tell you which "fret" to play in.  the vertical lines tell you which string to play, and the numbers are your fingers, number 1 being your pointy finger.  Hope this helps

I recommend you learn some basic chords. I have included a video lesson on the A chord. Work yourself up to a few more chords. You can learn simple songs like Knocking On Heaven's Door and similar tunes from there.

you dont need lessons to becoem good, theres enough lessons and stuff on the internet, lol,

trey and learn the simple chords first of all , then move on to trying to play some easy song by tab, and if you dont know what a tab is it shows you the 6 different strings, and the numbers on them mean the fret you play, have fun

probably the best thing to do is to call a local music store and sign up for lessons..unless you already know someone who plays the guitar, it is very hard to teach yourself
