  1. I would say that it depends whehter its for sport or just for the exercise, but I would suggest that you need to push yourself because running is 70% mental. But don't push yourself too hard knowing yu can't handle it. If you do this, you will build your endurance and next time you run it will a whole lot easier if you wan to keepnpushing yourself. Perhaps maybe its the way you run. if so try to open up your strides when you are running and pump your arms. You will automatically see the difference. Hope this works!

  2. you build up running stamina by running

  3. take it easy.  start off by building your distance than your speed.

for distance just pace your self and eventually once you build up your endurance you can work on building your speed by increasing your pace.

    Just push yourself

  4. try just a little at a time. I started running about 3 years ago and I had the same issue. So I would try to run for 2-3 minutes, walk for a minute or 2, and repeat. Do whatever you can to keep your momentum up for 20-30 minutes. If its one minute running, 3 minutes walking, or whatever works. Then over time, you will build up your endurance and you can increase the minutes you spend running, decrease walking while simultaneously building speed in both.

Also drink a couple glasses of water about an hour before. Don't run on a totally empty stomach. A banana and a cup of coffee is good about 45 minutes before. But don't eat a whole meal or you will get sick and start cramping.

Bring gatorade with you if its on a treadmill and bring a towel to wipe the sweat off your face.

If you keep it up you will get ADDICTED so be warned! I couldn't stop running now if I wanted to because I get withdrawals if I don't! lol

oh yeah and space your workouts out to give your muscles time to heal and grow. Like every other day should be good. And stretch for at least 3-5 minutes before and after of course! I'm stating the obvious but when I started I didn't realize how important stretching was, I didn't do it enough and I got sore.

It will pay off. Running is really good for you. If you want to lose weight, you will drop it off fast. If you don't want to lose weight just compensate for the lost calories. It will tone every area of your body, especially the legs. And it gives you quite a nice flow of endorphins! I find it exhilerating and a wonderful stress release. I totally zone out and don't think about anything when I'm doing it, which I love.

  5. Just keep on going- tell yourself that if you stop its only because you WANT to. which you dont. after you tell yourself that, you'll find running much easier. Thats just the way i keep on going....

    gd luck

btw- i think luca23 answered your question quite well :)
